Ross Baron Presentation

In August 2001 FAIR sponsored a very successful annual conference. Several notable speakers addressed a variety of topics that ranged from DNA and the Book of Mormon to anti-Mormon arguments that show the Book of Mormon is true. One popular speaker was Ross Baron, who discussed his hugely successful community firesides.

Brother Baron is the Institute Director at Claremont Colleges and Glendora Institute in Southern California. In response to a local increase in publications and public meetings by local anti-Mormons, Brother Baron conducted several community firesides that resulted in over a hundred baptisms and many people being reactivated. These firesides averaged over 1300 in attendance and were attended by as many as 35 pastors and various city officials. His topics have been:

  • Are Mormons Christian?
  • Book of Mormon: Fact or Fiction?
  • Where is the Church of Christ?
  • What are the Top 10 Hardest Questions for Latter-day Saints to Answer?

During the course of his presentation, Brother Baron discussed what made his presentations different from regular firesides, and his ten rules for conducting your own successful firesides. In other words, he explained how anyone can have the same type of success that he enjoyed.

Many Ward Mission Leaders and local priesthood leaders have been very interested in Brother Baron's presentation. If you are interested, you can now download his talk, as an MP3 file, for free. Simply right-click here to save the talk to your own hard drive. (This is a very large file--9.38 MB--so downloading can take a while.)

Additional Information

Brother Baron would rather not give copies of the talk he gave at the fireside. He would prefer that you develop your own fireside content under the direction of your local priesthood leaders.

Brother Baron's firesides drew in excess of 1,000 people and led to many people becoming baptized or reactivated. This audio MP3 gives directions on how to put together your own fireside.
